Changeling (Sisters of the Moon #2)

Author: Yasmine Galenorn

From Goodreads:

"The first in an engrossing new series, [Witchling was] a whimsical reminder of fantasy's importance in life" (Publishers Weekly). Now comes Changeling-again featuring Camille, the good witch, Menolly, the vampire, and Delilah, a feline shapeshifter. They're the D'Artigo sisters, half-human, half-Faerie supernatural agents who are now enlisted to find the fiends responsible for slaughtering the weres of Rainier Puma Pride."

My Review: I was awaiting Camille's story from the first book Witchling, when I bought Changeling and boy o boy I was surprised!

Lets start first with the cover, since I love book covers. A young woman kneeling on the ground, faded blue jeans ripped at the knee and thigh, coupled with a black tank top. Her long blond hair swirling around her face. At first glance what looks like a halo made from sun rays were behind her head and glowed so perfectly with the blonde hair. Closer observation shows that it looks like a chalk drawing of a circle. Her mascaraed eyes are either aqua blue or a very light green that pop out at you. My last observation is the fine cursive writing that make up the titles border.

So far, I have many questions, like what color are her eyes? What on earth is that fine writing saying? Does the circle mean anything? And most importantly, who on earth is this blonde woman on the cover, this is not the dark haired temptress, Camille that I am expecting? Could this be her sister?

The wonderful surprise that author Yasmine Galenorn gave her readers was different perspectives. In Witching she had me yearning to read more about what is going on with the main character Camille, and in Changeling she introduces Camille's sisters character, Delilah.

Delilah D'Artigo is a feline shapeshifter, that shifts into an adorable tabby cat. How can you not love her character already? As with any quirky, rambonious cat with a personality, you can now imagine what life is like with Delilah. Add to it her gentle loving heart and being half-human, half-faerie gives you just a taste of her character.

The best part of the book is that you don't loose any of the storyline about Camille. The reader who wanted answers to their questions not only gets that, but a lot more new questions. We cannot forget the third sister, Menolly, the witch, who also learn more about. More new characters are introduced that will intrigue you as well as add richness and balance to the already introduced characters.

Author Yasmine Galenorn really has a way of writing that grabs you in and makes you love the main characters. I am even more excited for the next book since I know now that she will be doing her next book on Menolly the witch!
