My Review: This book was recommended to me from a friend when they saw me reading a Kristin Hannah novel Firefly Lane. This book lived up to its recommendation and then some. You know from the first pages that something caused the separation of these two sisters and the guessing begins from page one. Was it their neighbor and best friend Justin, was it devastating choices one of the sisters make? The story changes from 1993 to their present day 2007. The author does a great job at transitioning the novel so there was never any confusion on when and where you were. The story has you believe that there is a good twin / bad twin situation but your perception of which is which is constantly changing throughout the entire book.
Overall this was an easy read, full of suspense, that at times was sad, held many surprises and in the end, some hard choices had to be made. This book left me pondering what pieces of others life do we carry with us and can we make life's hardest decisions and see through the jealousy and hate with reason and love, when it really counts? If your looking for a quick emotional read, this is it.
